Evidence Based Training platform for safer singe pilot operations.
INTRO
Commercial air transport operators can benefit from optimized training which will result in reduction of cost, while maintaining acceptable levels of safety. This is achieved by improving the value of training and starts with the realization that hours in the air alone is not strongly correlated to proficiency or experience. Aviation governing bodies have introduced the concept of Evidence Based Training (EBT) and provided guidelines for the composition of training programs aimed at building competencies. EBT programs rely on training devices with certain characteristics. Not all aircraft are suitable for use in EBT and different aircraft can add different value.
The bulk of regulators and training industry activities align with the needs of multi-crew commercial operations. This creates the notion that everything multi-crew is superior to anything single pilot. We at FC believe that this is not the case. Single pilot operations are different and often actually more demanding. Single pilot training should also be addressed based on evidence and such programs should employ proper aircraft.
SUMMARY
FC6 is a new design aimed at adding value to flight time, in particular, to any future single pilot EBT programs. Its characteristics and pilot interface are tailored for seamless transition, building, and maintaining of robust flight skills, adequate to upcoming generations of smart aircraft. Unlike other aerobatic aircraft, FC6 has more inherent stability which favors IFR flying and learning the dynamics of pitch and power. Unlike aircraft with lower fuel consumption, FC6 is capable of adding sizeable thrust to the equilibrium of forces in order to build confidence flying with significant values of θ. High quality training flight time will have less impact on the environment.
Prospective FC6 users are:
– organizations from the civil or defense sectors, tutoring professional pilots of high performance, complex aircraft;
– private individuals engaged in sport and leisure flying.
MISSIONS
- Buildup of core flying skills: awareness and management of aircraft position and energy state by automation or manually, interaction with AI advisory or resolution assist algorithms, adherence to procedures, efficient communication, timely problem solving and workload management. UPRT. Recurrent training.
- Precision flying as sport or air display.
- Extended range leisure or business private travel for two.
